ROGER AND DANIELLA PERFORM MORE: "CRITICAL HITS"
By Brother John - December 10th, 2009 - 03:33pm [ permalink ]
My nephew Roger and friend Daniella did another broadcast today. Unfortunately I had a "Virtual Meeting" scheduled with THE BOSS at that same time. I DO normally have plenty of processing power (I can handle a meeting and still get that recording done). But for some reason today, the Boss wanted to do a Skype session with me. (I actually had to shower, shave, put on clean clothes, and comb my hair! The shirt and tie were a nice touch and completely hid the fact that I was otherwise naked. Jussst kidding folks!). But I got off to a rather late start with Critical Hits.
But wait! There's more! By the time I started recording the show, it was already time for Kathy and me to do lunch. I left the computer recording and went out to the kitchen to take care of that. When I returned I noticed my player had "timed out" at some point. All in all a rather dismal attempt at capturing Roger and Daniella's show. Sorry! I'll give you the little bit I got.
up again. I could see the tweaking in the resulting waveform. So my suggestion? Watch those levels! Keep 'em out of the red, but not too quiet either!
You can also stream the audio if you have something like WinAmp or RealAudio.
ROGER COWDEN AND DANIELLA SINGLETON PERFORM: "CRITICAL HITS"

My nephew Roger and friend Daniella are Millersville College radio hosts in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. You can tune into their variety show "Critical Hits" on Thursdays from Noon until 2:00pm. For those in the area, set your dial to 91.7 WIXQ-FM. Everyone else can listen online at 91.7 WIXQ-FM The Ville. Roger and Daniella play a variety of music (complete with Techno, Indie Rock, Pop, Rap, Ska, and some downright funky tunes). They also take requests via their request lines.
You can also stream the audio if you have something like WinAmp or RealAudio.

BROTHER JOHN'S BEGINS TO EVOLVE
By Brother John - December 01st, 2009 - 08:03am [ permalink ]
Although it probably doesn't look like it, a LOT of work has happened to the site. I've been studying ways to enable good music and video, I've modularized many of the working components which now enables me to add more posts (among other things). Soon I'll be able to archive past posts, incorporating them into the new calendar control. I'll also be able to add more links and incorporate an "ABOUT" feature so folks can get to know me. I also plan to put in metatags and information that will feed the search engine crawlers (so I can get on the map, and generate some hits).
All in all, it's a good start even though it's very time consuming. In any case, stay tuned for updates!
BROTHER JOHN'S FIRST TEST POST
By Brother John - November 19th, 2009 - 11:45am [ permalink ]
My new website is far from complete, but I needed to install a comments section and the site actually had to exist in order to do it. This site is slated to go public, sooner rather than later. I really wanted to give myself more room then I had on the former site, and connect this to some of the social networks. Soon enough, we'll be calling it home sweet home. Until then, I did provide a link to the password protected FILES section. So Carl? We can continue to share music.
Friendly Attendant
I'll also use this site to "Visualize" some things I'd like to change in the world. To that end, I give you my "visualized" Attendant for Kathy. We need a backup.
So for now... I'll let this rest. But I'll be working on it!
